If it is not showing any error, one must assume that the installation ran to completion. It is installed. However, it probably did not install where you expected it to install. It is most likely that it installed as required by the rpm spec file, which is not that same as your choice of installation directory. My suggestion to you is to run 'rpm --rebuildb' to rebuild the database of installed rpm packages, then run 'updatedb' to rebuild the database for the 'locate' utility. When the two processes have run to completion, you can then either use the 'rpm -q' option to query the installed rpms, or use the 'locate' command to find the installed package, or use the 'which' command to find the location of the executable binary to run the application.
