while install software i got error as software Linux Installer cannot be run as root


Hi All,

I tried to install the software in the ubuntu operating software the error message was softwarename Linux installer cannot be run as root.

can anyone suggest a solution for this.

What are you trying to install?
How are you installing? (packagemanager, debfile, from source...)

hi,
am tring to instal Qtronic tool( which was belongs to ConformIQ) on RedFlag OS. the installing process as
i have install.sh file then i open terminal went to perticular directory ie /downloads/qtronic 2.1.4-linux . now am trying to run the .sh file as /sh install.sh. Now i got the msg as "Qtronic 2 Linux can't install as root". before doing it i compile the file using "make" command.
