Onox I have the EXACT SAME PROBLEM HERE!
did you solve it?
oh man.. after the dll hell i now have the dep-hell

onox. goto http://www.dropline.net/gnome
download the related packages. or if you really want a GNOME for SlackWARE
download the drop-installer. and chooose which packages will be downloaded

after all the hell you had (and that was the same for me) I was lucky, that I came into this man! THOSE PACKAGES SHOULD BE IN SLACKWARE.com/pb
if you ask me.. argggg
but I was looking for sth else, then I came into dropline. I wanna kiss the guy who made it! hahahah
