Where is the unix mail program storing mailboxes

Can anyone tell me where the default unix mail progam is storing my additional mailboxes?

I need to make sure that I back them up just in case anything happens to my server but I can't seem to find where they are being stored.

I am running FC4 and the default mail programs configuration settings.

usually i think they're in the users' home directories, if that's what you mean by additional mailboxes. e.g., ~/mbox or ~/Mail, etc.

As strange as it may sound, when I first looked there, I didn't see any of that. That is why I was so baffled and had to ask the forum. But now you have said it, it seems like the directory has magically appeared lol.
