Where are the plugins?

I have downloaded Flash Player and cp'd flashplayer.xpt and libflashplayer.so to /usr/lib/mozilla-1.4/plugins directory. When I open Mozilla and check aboutlugins, they're not there and web sites that require the flash plugin indicate it's not installed.

I've done this a ton of times on Mandrake, Radhat, Vector, Knoppix, etc. What's going on?

Whoa! I almost forgot, I'm not using Mandrake 9.1 at this time. I'm using Ark Linux 1.0 Alpha 9.

Sorry no one's replied to this until now... but it's not that hard in Ark Linux!
Just open up synaptic, and search for "flash" and install it. Alternatively, open a terminal window, type "apt-get update" and then "apt-get install flash" (not required to be superuser, just be user "arklinux.") After that, launch Konqueror or Mozilla and it should work automagically.

Do you get any error messages when you start mozilla from a terminal?

Are you starting the right version of mozilla? ('which mozilla')

Yeah, I figured out the flash plugin thing a while back by using synaptic. Thanks, though for offering some help.
