When upgrading to Firefox 1.5, it automatically removes itself on next start

I upgraded from Firefox 1.0.7 (default with SuSE 10) to Firefox 1.5 and initially it showed 1.5 under Help/About, but if I exit and restart the program, it's back to version 1.0.7.

How can I keep 1.5 from reverting to 1.0.7?

Did you upgrade through Yast, or download from the mozilla website? If from Mozilla it may have installed things slightly different from the original version. If that's the case you all the shortcuts and menus probably point to the old version still.
