When trying to compile squid with ssl enabled I get the following error.

I have installed libssl-dev , openssl 0.9.7, the files are even in the /usr/include/openssl directory.

I keep getting the following error message after typing make all :

../include/md5.h:18:2: #error Cannot find OpenSSL headers
rfc2617.c: In function `DigestCalcHA1':
rfc2617.c:105: error: `MD5_CTX' undeclared (first use in this function)
rfc2617.c:105: error: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once
rfc2617.c:105: error: for each function it appears in.)
rfc2617.c:105: error: parse error before "Md5Ctx"
rfc2617.c:108: warning: implicit declaration of function `MD5_Init'
rfc2617.c:108: error: `Md5Ctx' undeclared (first use in this function)
rfc2617.c:109: warning: implicit declaration of function `MD5_Update'
rfc2617.c:114: warning: implicit declaration of function `MD5_Final'
rfc2617.c: In function `DigestCalcResponse':

rfc2617.c:142: error: parse error before "Md5Ctx"
rfc2617.c:149: error: `Md5Ctx' undeclared (first use in this function)
make[1]: *** [rfc2617.o] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/software/squid-2.5.STABLE4/lib'
make: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
MLRSRETIRED:/home/software/squid-2.5.STABLE4# error Cannot find OpenSSL headers

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Tony
