Question Whats up with Maverick and /Var/lib/apt/lists issues

Im using Maverick Zorin4 with studio and since the 15th whenever I install or try to do an update I get merge list failures or other failures in /Var/lib/apt/lists I do command sudo rm /var/lib/apt/lists/* it temparily repairs it but it keeps happening I am also having to put back lost keys using the command to force the machine to find the keys by hex
