whats a good firewall

Alright, so I just got Ubuntu "Breezy Badger" installed and I need to get a firewall up and running. My question, obviously, is what firewall should I go for, I just need a simple yet powerful one with a straight forward setup process. One of the things I have noticed on other distros is that setting up the firewall with a windows network can be a bit tricky. Any helpful hints here will be welcome, maybe I'm just not doing some simple correctly. Thanks for the help.

firestarter is a GUI tool with which you can configure IPtables.

Ok, so I just got firestarter installed and now in there services tab there is a really long list of "gatecrasher". Is this a problem or is it that the firewall is blocking these?

I happen to use ShoreWall on the inside. But the first line of defense is a firewall that's built into the router that's directly downstream from the modem.
