What distro and FTP (with GUI) should I use

New to this site so bare with me.

I want to set up a simple box at the office that does the following three things:

- Works as a storage server so I can stash huge files away for later use
- Works as an FTP server so I can share huge files with my clients
- Does regular backups of my two other computers.

I was a heavy linux user about 7 years ago but have been pretty much out of it since then. And the box will also be used by my coleague who has zero linux experience.

So, to make my question(s) simple:

What distro should I get (Xwindows a must), is there FTP server software out there that has a graphic user interface so my coleague can use it and can anyone suggest some backup software that I can configure to go into my two other computers and back up important files.

thanks

fedora core, it has pure and simple FTP and NFS support, especialy if you use webmin to set it up.

fedora with KDE or gnome is also idiot proff to sue once you look it down and it can run well even udner load.

all in all fedora core 3 or 4 would we good stable fast and once a good WM is put in you can make it all work well.
