Wget command question

Hi folks,

FedoraCore2

If I want to down a directory, say CCC from a website

WEBSITE -> AAA -> BBB -> CCC

Previously I used following command on terminal;

$ wget -no--parent http://www.xyz.com/AAA/BBB/CCC/index.htm

then it will only download "CCC"
/CCC/index.htm

Now I use
$ wget -np -r http://www.xyz.com/AAA/BBB/CCC/index.htm

It also downloaded the parent directories "www.xyz", AAA, BBB.

Please advise the correct syntax/command line to be used. TIA

i have been using wget for quite some time and i have faced no such problems

wget <link of the page to be downloaded>

It only download the "index.htm" page.

What I need is to download the complete CCC directory including all links, files, sub-directories, etc. for off-line browsing. Previously I can make it with;

$ wget -no--parent <url>

It did the job for me downloading all necessary data for off-line browsing.

I have not used "wget" for sometimes. Now using the above command line wget still can download what I need but including all directories above which I don't expect to have.

sorry i misunderstood ur question!!
for some sites that support ftp also i use gftp too upload and download the content
