Question Weird behaviour of Debian, please help!

Hello,

I have installed Debian Squeeze on my laptop and I am having a really weird behaviour on it, every time I log in my user loads the System > Preferences > Apperance or what is called gnome-appearance-properties, where you can change your desktop theme, wallpaper, etc.

How can I do so, that stops loading when I am trying to log in?

Please help

Cheers!!

I just solve the problem, it was actually very simple here is the solution in case happens to someone else:

open a terminal and log as root, then use the command nautilus and go to the following folder:

/usr/share/gdm/autostart

and in my case the application "appearance" was on that folder so, I just erase it and that solves it, maybe in your case is other application or file you need to delete so it doesn't autostart.

Cheers!!
