I just got the apollon program and used the all in one program that compiles the giFT daemon, fasttrack, etc.

Then I run apollon and everything works great. I can get files and download whatever.

However, if I reboot, it tells me that there is an error finding the gift daemon and it can't start it.

If I run giftd from a teminal i get:

Using the -v switch i get a bunch of stuff about attempting connection to ftp and ip addresses and then the same message as above.

If i run the uninstall program, and go through deleting everything about gift and apollon, then run the install/comile program again, it will work again, until I reboot.

It's got me stumped.

Any ideas or suggestions on a different program to use. This is the only thing from windows remaining that i can't do in linux.

Apollon is kinda odd, indeed. I tried a dozen times to set it up correctly, and I'm not sure what I did, but it's running ok, now. In a sudden moment, it stopped to error.
Did you run gift-setup?
