I have set up a webcam server on a 450Mhz dedicated machine running Mandrake 9.1 with about 90 meg RAM. I have successfully set up bttvgrab, which seems to be working just as it should be. Now I want to stream from it to a browser using a server-push script. I tried the stock script that comes with it, and it works (streams beautifully) for a couple of seconds, and then it seems that the link between the script and the webcam image file "breaks"... it usually either stops on the last pic, or I get the broken link image where the real image should be. I have tried many things with bttvgrab, but to no avail, and am now quite sure it is a problem with the stock script that comes with it.
I have also tried the script at the Linux Netmag site (under webcam streaming), again with no luck. But this one does not seem to work at all. I cannot figure out if it is a problem with the cgi script itself or my config of the cgi-bin it is supposed to be in. Does anyone have any ideas. (My error log file does not seem to show any errors on either script). Thanks in advance for the help.
