I was wondering if there's some web-based email application (like Zimbra) or perhaps gmail can do it I'm not sure that can handle both receiving and sending of mail from multiple email accounts.

I have about 4 different email accounts with various different domains and would like to have one platform which has an inbox for each account and from which I can send mail from any of the accounts.

If such a setup is possible on a web-based platform I'd greatly appreciate any tips / advice!

Any web browser will give you web-mail. If you want a common account to to all, you can use imap instead of a pop account however most ISPs charge you for storage, as your mail is stored on their system. The other option is fwd all email to one account. I use thunderbird email client, with several account to a common mail folder on my PC. I check my mail with webmail, and get rid of smam... but download only to my common mail folder. If you do a search on the mozilla thunderbird website, you will find good information on this. How this is of some help.
