Question vmware-installation-problem under kernel 2.4.4 (debian woody)

Hi together,

who can help me? Installing vmware 2.04 on debian woody (kernel 2.4.4) is aborting during kernel kompilation with the message "unable to make a vmnet module that can be loaded in the running kernel" followed by different messages saying "/tmp/vmware-config/vmnet.o unresolved symbol sk_free_Rsmpdd7466de" and so on. The final message is: There is probably a light difference of kernel configuration between the set of C header files you specified and your running kernel.
It's funny that the same vmware-version runs under redhat with 2.4.4 perfectly...
Any ideas?
