VirtualBox Web Service started by default installation

In the VirtualBox User Manual for version 4.1.12 it says:
Quote:
The VirtualBox web service (vboxwebsrv) is used for controlling VirtualBox remotely.
...
The VirtualBox web service is never started automatically as a result of
a standard installation.
But after installing from VirtualBox-4.1.12-77245-Linux_amd64.run and Oracle_VM_VirtualBox_Extension_Pack-4.1.12-77245.vbox-extpack, this had appeared at the bottom of rc.local:
Code:
# If you do not wish this to be executed here then comment it out,
# and the installer will skip it next time.
if [ -x /etc/rc.d/rc.vboxweb-service ]; then
    /etc/rc.d/rc.vboxweb-service start
fi
Hmm ... a potential security hole.

Taking this off the zero-reply list.
