VirtualBox - connect to remote host

Hi

I'm trying to switch from vmware to virtualbox, and am running into all sorts of annoying problems, here's one:

In vmware I could have my vm running on one machine and control it via the vmware console (vmware server gui) from my workstation. This way I could make use of cpu/disk/memory on less busy machines.

Can I do the same with virtualbox? I found a lot about rdp, but I'm guesing that won't give me the same user experience - or should i try it?

Thanks
