Virtual-box dependency problem

Each time im trying to lunch it, it gives me this error message.

I have installed: "virtualbox-ose-dkms" and tried to install required headers but nothing seems to happen.

The error message:

The character device /dev/vboxdrv does not exist.
Please install the virtualbox-ose-dkms package and the appropriate
headers, most likely linux-headers-generic.

You will not be able to start VMs until this problem is fixed.
No protocol specified

You need the kernel headers for your current running kernel installed. You didn't say what distro. Here is a link for a setup in Ubuntu.

-->http://blog.brodul.org/virtualbox-mo...untu-1204.html

To find out what kernel you are running, open a konsole, run the command 'sudo uname -a' without the quotes. You will get a line, the current kernel will be listed, just after your system hostname.

You should be able to find the kernel header package in the repos for your distro. Make sure the package you install matches the kernel. Then the setup will work.
