I use Kmail 1.7 with the latest KDE on Debian - Sarge. I have searched for an answer but to no avail!
How do I make Kmail view html emails properly. I see the email broken into parts (ie sig, background image, gif, text etc), but it may as well be plain text. When I open up the same email in Thunderbird, or evolution, I have a background picture, and the layout is correct.
On the Kmail homepage, in the screenshots, it shows an email with a background colour. I can not even get this for some reason. Does any one know what to tweak or is this a Kmail limitation?
I have that html option, and load images from the internet selected, and can read html emails no problem. It is the layout of the email that is odd.
In the preview screen I see a header, then the text, then their signature, then any gifs that may have been added, then the background picture which is gerenally quite small, then any attachments- all 'inline'. The background image is not displayed as wallpaper, just an image file down the bottom. Those fancy signatures are broken up into the text, then an image file below etc.
I am wondering if Kmail can intergate them and display them as thunderbird or evolution can. I can not find any settings which allow me to do this.
