video discoloration after upgrading to 10.04

Howdy,

I posted this in Ubuntu Forums, but i figured i would get as much response as possible. after i upgraded to 10.04, my video has been messed up. all people are blue, and everything else is the same color. Pictures like JPEGs are fine, and other pictures are fine, but the video is messed up. is there somet hing i need to do to fix the video?

your proprietary driver is causing the problem apparently. The log does not say much.
check with the nvidia people.

Also uninstall the 'nvidia' driver through synaptic and see what happens.

reset to default
you should be good to go

Here's an interesting twist.....

I'm getting a similair issue.

VLC shows up fine
Totem shows up fine
Youtube gives me the blue people colouring effect.

Have played around with reinstalling flash, adjusting totem settings but to no avail.

OS: Linux Mint 11

EDIT:
some further info...
Youtube advertising videos show up fine
Youtube actual video shows up blue
Issue occurs regardless of browser (Firefox, Chromium tested so far)
Issue only occurring on youtube - so far other sites like vimeo are unaffected.
Unable to replicate the issue onto my second computer.

Sample screenshot:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/colinna...ne/7049663203/
(background is the blue "smurf-people" youtube effect - foreground is the same video extracted and played in totem)

I've had the same, not with 11.10 but only with 10.04, the LTS so maybe wait less than a month and upgrade to 12.04? I'm also having some problems with flash player in general on that computer(hickups in some video).
