usbip - can't bind devices - Mint13 32bit

Hi All,
Trying to share usb video cam.
Just for grins, I set the baseline by testing the cam with Cheese (works fine).

Bus 002 Device 003: ID 413c:2105 Dell Computer Corp. Model L100 Keyboard

Installed usbip
Code:
apt-get install usbip
Setting up the host to share the usb cam, I run:

Code:
sudo usbip_bind_driver --list
[sudo] password for xxxx:
List USB devices
 - busid 1-3 (0846:4260)
         1-3:1.0 -> rtl8187

 - busid 1-4 (046d:0990)
         1-4:1.0 -> uvcvideo
         1-4:1.1 -> uvcvideo
         1-4:1.2 -> snd-usb-audio
         1-4:1.3 -> snd-usb-audio

 - busid 2-1 (15d9:0a4d)
         2-1:1.0 -> usbhid

 - busid 2-2 (413c:2105)
         2-2:1.0 -> usbhid
To share the usb video, I issue:
Code:
sudo usbip_bind_driver --usbip 1-4

** (process:2174): WARNING **: add 1-4 to match_busid, failed
Now when I list the available USB devices again I get this:
Code:
sudo usbip_bind_driver --list
List USB devices
 - busid 1-3 (0846:4260)
         1-3:1.0 -> rtl8187

 - busid 1-4 (046d:0990)
         1-4:1.0 -> none
         1-4:1.1 -> none
         1-4:1.2 -> none
         1-4:1.3 -> none

 - busid 2-1 (15d9:0a4d)
         2-1:1.0 -> usbhid

 - busid 2-2 (413c:2105)
         2-2:1.0 -> usbhid
No device shared; usbip not listening on 3240, and Cheese no longer sees the usb video cam.

Restart resets the baseline.
Any help would be appreciated in getting this usb cam setup with usbip.
Thanks
