Urgent Help With Apache!
hiya all,
i am quite a newbie with apache. and i am getting some trouble with it. when i received my dedicated server, everything was working properly. but at some point i noticed that the httpd was stopped (from the control panel). i did ssh to my account and tried to restart it via : /usr/sbin/apachectl restart
tyfelon# /usr/sbin/apachectl restart
/usr/sbin/apachectl restart: httpd not running, trying to start
httpd: bad group name admin
/usr/sbin/apachectl restart: httpd could not be started
tyfelon#
and thats what i got.i tried changing the groups in the httpd.conf file. still giving me the same problem. i made a new user as w3 with adduser, just in case, but still giving me same problem. please can anyone tell me what to do.
i contacted the dedicated provider, they said they can only re-install the server.and that i would lose all my details about domains, files etc.
