Upgrading to sendmail 8.12.11

Running Redhat 7.2 and sendmail 8.11.6-3.

Should I upgrade to the latest version sendmail 8.13 or 8.12.11? And if so is there an RPM for it? or a good how to explanation white paper.

I'd go 8.13.4. There's bugfixes in it that do not appear in the 8.12 series.

Is this the only RPM that I need? I don't need the sendmail-cf and sendmail-config RPMs.

What do I do after installing "sendmail-8.13.3-1.src.rpm" ?

Not sure if you will need these files. sendmail-cf and sendmail-config

You will want the top file though... The .rpm not the .scr.rpm you can do it from source but I would suggest just D/L the "sendmail-8.13.3-1.i386.rpm" and do a query to see what is included in the rpm.

Got the RPM sendmail-8.13.4-1.i386.rpm. Tried to install it by issuing the command

rpm -ivh sendmail-8.13.4-1.i386.rpm

it errored on failed dependencies. it is missing a lot of dependencies.

Is there an easier way of installing this? Or is there a better RPM with these decencies included?

there is an RPM for sendmail-cf.

Out of desperation tried to install the Redhat's fedora and it is so slow on my Pentium III 650 that I gave up on it!

ANY Ideas?
