Update from openSuSE 10.2 to 10.3: How do I do it?

Greetings. I was wondering how one would update to 10.3,
eg, what install sources I would need, and how.

AND, would it be advisable to wait until 11.0 before updating?

any information would be appreciated!

Waiting for suse 11 or not that is you,re choice
From what I have read about it,it is better then 10.3
Down load suse 10.3 burn it on cd or dvd some where there is also check to see if upgrade is possible
Generally speaking 10.3 is better than 10.2 although if you use wireless internet it deals in other way with it

Personal hangup: I always do clean installs to change versions. I keep all data on separate partitions and simply do a clean install of the OS.

Same here, I do clean installs as well and I mount my (hdx,x)/home/itsme to the /home of the clean install.

Some advantages are that everything will be fresh

In my case I have two HDD's each 160GB and on each I have 2 (open)SuSE installs for safety/peace of mind*, like;

hda,0 >>>>SuSE 10.0
hda,1 >>>openSuSE 10.3

hdb,0 >>openSuSE 10.2
hdb,1 >openSuSE 11.0 KDE4

My personal favourites are 10.0 and 10.3 and I will wait for 11.1 before I switch to that as my main/daily OS.

*Hard disks will fail eventually ! In such a case it is no use to have a backup on a separate partition on the same HDD. So I have 160GB, 40Gb external IDE drives & a 160GB pocket drive as well for data storage.
Call me paranoid but I also burn /home/itsme to a DVD each month or so...

ok, I'll consider that. The only issue is that I worked really hard to make the NDISwrapper work correctly with my card. A clean install will ruin that!

is there another way...?

The nsdiswrapper is installed by default and worked fine for me...
As of yesterday you can downlod openSuSE 11.0 with KDE 4.1 give that a try.

isn't there a "system update" feature in YaST?
So I wouldn't have to do a clean install?
How would I do this?

To upgrade from 10.2 to 10.3 you need the install CD or DVD or maybe the Live version
You can not go directly from suse 10.2 to suse 11 . without a lot of troubles and it is never my advice to do so.
Even more may advice would always be do a clean install and if you wish
keep suse 10
