I have a problem with konqueror... When i access to the windows partition (vfat), konqueror crashes. I don't know why because if i use nautilus or if i access to this partiton using shell there's no problem.
So I have decided to Uninstall KDE and reinstall it cleanly, but using Fedora I don't know hot to do it. As in install/remove packages utility, i can't uninstall kde, i can only uninstall some optional packages of kde.
I don't think there is a kde group, where you can uninstall all kde packages.
So you have to uninstall all kde packages and kde programs probably.
Its not really what you want I think. In fact I don't really knows how works dependencies in Fedora, it depends what you use (apt, yum, or whatever the install/uninstall uses for you).
You should uninstall kdebase packages, kdelibs etc but not all kde programs
But before trying that, just launch konqueror with your favorite shell. Like Konsole.
type in:
kfmclient exec .
or just this:
konqueror
And go to your windows partition.
Now that konq crashed, look at the konsole for explicit errors messages that should help you to determine what is causing the konq crash.
Oh, may be it's because JavaScript as I installed jdk 1.5 a few days ago... But I have disabled java and javascript in konquerors and still crashes. May be I have not disabled at all...
I have also removed the /usr/share/jdk1.5/bin/ from the $PATH, so it uses the /usr/bin/java
Something to say is that only crashes if I acces to /mnt/win but not if i acces into the subdirectories
For example, if f i go to /mnt/win/Program Files it doesn't crash.
mmm... you are right. May be it's because i installed Nvdia driver, i think that before there was no problem...
How long since I went to the win partition xD
I edited the xorg.conf properly on that day. But now i have just added the Option "NvAgp" "2"
