undefined reference to `mp3lame_encoder'


try to install mplayer (SRPM), ./configure ok .. an unsuccessful make end with a message:
undefined reference to `mp3lame_encoder' ..
where did i go wrong ?

Do you have 'lame' installed? If so, did you install by source or rpm, etc? Where is it located? Could be a corrupt install, if you've installed it I'd try to install it again and then install mplayer.

you'll need the lame-devel libraries installed.
