TSM server fails to start, "cannot open shared object file"

Hello,
I have recently installed TSM 6.3 on a RHEL 5.5 box. I created the server instance and setup the user and groups, made the user the owner of the /home/"userdir" directory and also the owner of /opt/tivoli/tsm/server/bin directory. However, when attempting to launch "/opt/tivoli/tsm/server/bin/dsmserv" I receive the following error, "/opt/tivoli/tsm/server/bin/dsmserv: error while loading shared libraries: libdb2.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory". I have attempted to resolve using the steps found here https://www-304.ibm.com/support/docv...id=swg21389589but still receive the error. There is not a file called libdb2.so.1 in either the /lib or /lib64 directories and I am puzzled as to why the db2 install would not have created this as it completed without error. Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks

Solved this one on my own. I was su'ing to the instance user as root (su "instance user") instead of creating a profile for the user (su - "instance user").
