Trying to run Adobe Digital Editions under Wine on Mint

I am trying to run Adobe Digital Editions 4.5 on Wine 8.0.2 in Mint 21.1. I need to remove the DRM from some Kobo books I bought. The installations LOOK like they all ran fine and I can run a Windows game in Wine just fine. I can add my Kobo books to the ADE library just fine, but when I try to READ them I get the following message (This is for a book called "Imaginary Numbers" in the directory "daimaru/Documents/My Digital Editions":

Unable to open Imaginary Numbers

Errors were encountered in this item
file://C:/users/daimaru/Documents/My%20Digital%20Editions/Imaginary%20Numbers.epub

Thanks for any help.

Could this be a permissions issue? Perhaps try removing and reinstalling Wine?

Have you checked the Wine website?

LQ really can't help on this. Cracking software and DRM is on the web I assume.
