Exclamation Trying to make KPlayer and MPLayer work...where libx264.so.54 can be downloaded from?

Alright...this is really relaly frustrating. I spent the whole damn day trying to make mplayer/KPlayer work. It has so many dependencies..which is ok..but they are SO HARD to FIND! What's up with that? I am stuck on this now:
libx264.so.54
Cannot find anywhere on the net an RPM of this for OpenSUSE.
Why they make it so hard? Maybe lazy?

HELP! I want to watch .mov and .wmv already! The whole day spent finding these stupid packages that should just be included in the mplayer RMP by default!

Thanks

On my opensuse 10.2 it comes with x264-0.0svn20061031-1 which I installed along with mplayer from packman repository. It sounds strange to me you have to track down dependencies manually. If you enabled the proper repositories, Yast software management should take care of them automatically.

kplayer is a front end gui for console mode mplayer. So kplayer will not work till mplayer is working.
