Trying to figure out how to get Java plugin to work with Limewire

This is what I have done:
Installed Java 2RE
Created symlink to /usr/bin/java from /usr/local/javadistro/bin/java
Niw I need to symlink the plugin... What I have read here tells me to send the file to this:
/usr/local/firefox/plugins
But that looks unfarmiliar.... my local dir doesn't have firfox, is that a Mandrake thing, and if so, where should I send the file in FC2?

firefox. http://mozilla.org/products/firefox/
I'm not sure how limewire and firefox are tied together, at all. Unless its just because they both use java..?
