True transparency of menus and panel in KDE 3.5

Hi. I have enabled composite extension and enabled window trasnparency. It isn't very stable, but looks great. The problem is that panel and menus are pseudo-transparent, just as they were before turning composite extension on - their backgrounds are not updated. My question is whether is it possible to make them truly transparent, and if yes, where is the option. Thanks in advance.

P. S.
I wonder what's the source of instability of translucency: kde, x.org, nvidia drivers? I'm asking because composite hasn't been updated for a while and I'm curious if there is a possibility to have stable translucency in near future. Greets.

The instability is usually due to the driver. If you're using NVidia's proprietary drivers, try a different version.

I use 8174. But that's good that that's a driver issue, nvidia is updating them quite often so maybe we'll see stable transparency in near future.
