tried installing apache2 and broke apace?

Ok, I need v2.x of the GD library and was told I needed to install the current PHP and Apache2.

I am running Redhat 9 on my test server. So I thought I would just load some RPMs and ending up that apache will not run at all.

Good thing this is the test server.

Now, how can I install Apache2, the current PHP and will I have to upgrade mySql as well?

Thanks for any advice (not a lot of linux experience here)
