Transparent terminal in gnome 2.0

Hi,

I am able to find the option to turn on transparency in my terminal, the problem is that it doesn't work. I have a photo background and my terminal window is gray. It worked the other day.... I don't understand it. Also, when I run xpenguins (little penguins run around in the root window) they leave blue trails. I suspect this is related. Anyone got any ideas? I realize that this isn't the most crucial thing, but it bugs me...

when your terminal window is open, click on settings and then image. you should be able to set the transparency there.
