timidity++: Where did the channel displays go?

Hi. I've been looking for a MIDI player that can display a equalizer-like view of the MIDI channels while it is going through the play list. In the screen shots for Timidity, most of the interfaces appear to have this function:

http://timidity.sourceforge.net/screenshots.html

However, when I run each of the interfaces on my own Gentoo box, with -Tn, -Ta, -Tg, and so forth, I never see this view. I've looked through the MAN page but some how I must be missing the switch that tells you how to turn this on. Does anyone happen to know?
