Exclamation Timidity/Rosegarden problem

Hello,

I wanted to add midi support to my system, so I downloaded Timidity++ and Rosegarden via yum.
I added to timidity the FluidR3GM soundfonts and I got a much better sound.
It was really nice being able to play midis, until I restarted the computer and then I started getting, when I wanted to run timidity:

esd: No such file or directory
Couldn't open Enlightened sound daemon (`e')

So freaking bad!

I found that running esd, in a terminal window, and in another running timidity solved it up, but, every time I want to play a midi I have to do this. It is really bothering. And that's not all, when I do this, the sound I get it isn't very nice, it sounds a little, then stops, then sounds, then stops, it's not nice at all.

And as I wanted to use soundgarden, I had to run timidity -iA.

In soundgarden the sound I get is at least ten times worst than the sound I get playing with timidity alone.

What's all this? How can I fix this?

Why am I getting this faltering sound?

I only wanted to play and see midi scores, but that sounds pretty difficult down here in linuxland

What distro are you running? There should be a way to have it automatically start up, but I would need to know what distribution you're running first.

Hi and, before anything, thank you for trying to help!

I'm using Fedora Core 6.

But what I want to do is to make Timidity to run correctly, because let me tell you, if I open an console, and I type timidity xxx.mid I don't get good sound always, and when I do, I change to the window of the fire fox, or any window, and then the sound begins to be like crap.

I also would like to run it as a daemon when starting the computer, but I think that first of all making it work correctly it is more important.

And if I start it as a daemon, would it fix the problem??

I don't understand, please help me

thank you very much in advance!
