Throwing a Filesystem (or part of it) Into RAM. Any Idea on How to Do This?


Hi,
I was wondering if it was possible to copy a file/dir or even a entire filesystem into RAM and operate on it there, including reading and writing. If I could then commit all changes to the hard disk after a given period of time (ex. before shutting down the machine), that would be very nice. Any ideas? Thanks for your time.

This are the simple steps, I don't know for synchronising. You can also have a look at tmpfs
