System Monitoring Tools Better Than Top

Hi,
I was wondering if there are some system monitoring tools better than top. If the tool can give me more accurate readings of the memory usage of applications as well as their cpu usage, that would be great. Network related monitoring would also be nice. Thanks for your time.

Have a quick look through the /proc folder. cat a few of the files there, I'm not sure how detailed the memory or net logs are, but I just spent days looking for a decent no-nonsense RAID monitor, only to find one had been sitting in /proc all along lol.

I don't think anything in /proc would give you stats on specific applications. Top does give you memory and cpu usage stats, though. You could use netprobe (http://freshmeat.net/projects/netprobe/) for network monitoring, but if you want something simpler, you could just use gkrellm.
