System Clock Problem

Hi. I'm using a vmware server to virtual a linux server.

Here I found a problem, the virtual linux server's system clock runs slower than actually time.So after a few days, the time different to actual time will be very large.

Is there a way I can solve this problem. Or is there a public time server I can syn with.?

I found it

I think I can use ntpdate to sync the time with public time servers.
I put the ntpdate [server] in cron.hourly.

You can certainly run cron hourly (or whatever) to do ntpdate but you can also run ntpd as a daemon (you do ntpdate once and you start the daemon) and it will keep track of the time. It depends how accurate you need your time set.
