synce-kde works in Edgy but not in Feisty. What packages can I edit?

synce-kde works in Feisty but not in Edgy. (see this bug report).

Multisync (for GNOME) works, but I prefer to use KDE.

If synce-kde works in Edgy, maybe, there are packages that I can play with. What can I do to make synce-work in Feisty?
