swat documentation


hi
i installed swat from synaptic and i think the documentation
was not installed can some one tell me how to install it?

What distro are you working with? You probably just have to install it with synaptic. I would search synaptic for "swat" and you should get a package listed for program and one called something like "swat-doc". Or it might just be in /usr/share/doc/swat or something like that...

On my system there is a package called samba-doc which installs the documentation for the links at the bottom of the samba-swat intro page. It also installs a number of example files and the pdf versions of "Samba 3 by Example", "Samba 3 Howto & Reference Guide", "Samba3-Developers-Guide.pdf" and the smbldap-tools documentation.

Well, I didn't find any docs in the debian repos specifically for swat. Just these links:

I don't know if there are swat specific docs. On the bottom of the intro page are a number of links to html documentation and the "Using Samba" book. You may also have the books that I mentioned. Samba itself is documented.
