swap + software suspend

I'm running Fedora Core 3. I patched for software suspend and recompiled it, and then installed the hibernate program via RPM. Now it needs to know where to find my swap device, and I don't know where it is! fstab has this line:

/dev/VolGroup00/LogVol01 swap swap defaults 0 0

However, if I try to tell software suspend to look there, it says (in dmesg):

Software Suspend 2.1.8: Failed to translate "/dev/VolGroup00/LogVol01" into a device id.
Software Suspend 2.1.8: Sorry. Location looks invalid.

Where else could my swap be? Here is my complete fstab:

/dev/VolGroup00/LogVol00 / ext3 defaults 1 1
LABEL=/boot /boot ext3 defaults 1 2
none /dev/pts devpts gid=5,mode=620 0 0
none /dev/shm tmpfs defaults 0 0
none /proc proc defaults 0 0
none /sys sysfs defaults 0 0
/dev/VolGroup00/LogVol01 swap swap defaults 0 0

Any help would be great appreciated.

What I see so far looks to me like a LVM. You might want to check out: or

I don't have any LVM so I can't give you any details but I hope this helps anyway.

Cheers Jon
