SuSe and AVI's

I just installed SuSe personal 9 and while using kaffeine i can't play AVI's. I mean they play but i get no picture just a black screen with audio. Does anyone know how to fix this? I installed DIVX to see if that would help but i still get the same thing

Avi's meaning you want to play divx movies of things you ripped/pirated? Suse specifically has avi files and codecs removed because of this. You'll need to install something like mplayer or zine from the source or packages online.
