SuSE 9.3 (YaST) will not install updates..

When I try to use YaST to do the online update (Which it nags me about if I don't), I go to download and install the updates, but get this happening with all the updates:

It's only been happening recently, and has worked perfect up to now. If anyone can give this noob some advice, I'd appreciate it. I've used YaST for years, and never had a problem with it.

Thanks much!

login as root...try running YaST...

also, run YaST from a terminal as root, run the updates and see what error message you get...

Hey, thanks for the quick reply. Under a root account, I still get the same error:

is this with each package? try skipping the package in question and proceed...

also, i think in yast you can choose which packages you'd like to update...

just ingore the packages in question...

A quick glance at your error and it appears to be RPM related to extent the actual install is failing. I would recommend you login to a terminal session as root and do "rpm --rebuilddb" w/o quotes. Try to run the updates after that. You could also try to download the patch manually and from a root terminal session do yast -i packagename.rpm.
The terminal session will sometimes give you more readable/meaningful errors.

That fixed everything! Thanks a ton, it just downloaded all 10 packages and installed them perfectly. Thanks for the help!
