I am trying to install Oracle 10G on RHEL5 on Sun Virtual Box 2.1 on Windows Vista.
The installation zip files for 10g are intact, and "unzip -t" as well as md5sum on the gives OK.
However, the CRC check starts failing randomly for some files when I start the installation process, and process has to be aborted.
For diagnosis, when I do an "unzip -t" again on the failed zip files (after chcking the installation log), it passes well.
So I dont know where the problem lies - especially since its not repeatable with the same file. I am hoping that there is a solution to this other than getting a new hard disk. (its a faily new disk - if that matters)
Any help or pointers would be appreciated.
P.S. I have not managed to get any exact hits for similar issue, hence reporting on this forum as new.
Maybe the resources allocated to the VM are not enough for what you want to do. Try to increase the memory available to the VM, stop other unneeded processes in RHEL and see if it helps.
