Hey all, I'm integrating Zimbra/Samba from their write-up
here.
I need to enable sudo but Zimbra comes with OpenLDAP and that puts a minor kink in the works. I've been following the instructions for sudo/ldap
here. Everything was fine till I reached this part:
Quote:
Finally, using an LDAP browser/editor, enable indexing by editing the
client profile to provide a Service Search Descriptor (SSD) for sudoers,
replacing example.com with your domain:
serviceSearchDescriptor: sudoers: ou=sudoers,dc=example,dc=com

Zimbra's implementation OpenLDAP looks pretty standard except for the inclusion of their own schema. Anyway, I'm about 1 of 5 stars with LDAP and this one is something I've never heard of or seen before. Here are my questions:
Q1: I say F*** an ldap browser. How would you enable indexing from the shell?
Q2: Is editing the client profile like doing an ldapadd to modify an existing ldap entry?
Q3: How would you add a Service Search Descriptor (SSD) for sudoers?
I can't seem to find any docs (that I can understand) on this stuff. If someone could point me in the right direction it would be appreciated.
