Do you use a PS/2 mouse? If you do, the mouse device is probably /dev/psaux. When you find the mouse device, simply do this command as root:
ln -s /dev/the_path_to_the_mouse_dev_name /dev/mouse

Sorry guys, I got fed up and just wiped the hard drive and installed core 1. Surprisningly, its working almost perfectly. The only problem is that whenever I download and finish installing the Ati driver for my 9600 Pro X doesn't work and it gives me an error message about some config file not found. I'll try to get you the error meassage, but until then, on the other 3 computers in the house there is a windows network (LAN) going on. I am a total on linux networks and I don't know a thing, so I was wondering, can I connect to that using Linux, and how? (Also, is there an auto config thing, cause that would be great)

Also, does anyone know how to use Yum instead of up2date (at least, i think thats the default that I'm using)? It seems to freeze a lot.
