The reason why i post was that i want to know if there is anyway i could recover my c: or window partition in linux. I can see everything on that drive and there is two folders named "found.000" and found.001" file which all they contain was files that with an extension of .chk.

Well what's the specific problem you're having? Unless you know specifically what file(s) have problems, your best bet would probably be to recover WindowsXP using the product's CD. I had problems a while back and that fixed it right up (but it wanted me to activate again.. stupid Macrohard...)
