streaming live audio with auto play
I am needing to building a system to connect a remote studio to an AM radio station. Both locations have broadband so I figured that I can link the studios via an audio stream over the Internet. The system must be reliable and be able to stream live audio for several hours without interruptions.
The most difficult thing for me is that the AM station is automated during the evenings and weekends so no one will be at the station to hit the play button to start playing a stream. I need to figure out a way to enable the remote studio to "push" the audio stream to the AM station and have the stream start playing at the station whenever the remote studio is producing a stream.
Does Linux provide a solution to do this?
