Strace / Tracing Kernel-Space Daemons

Hi,
I was wondering if someone could shed light on tracing kernel-space daemons. I can use strace to trace user-space daemons, but all kernel-space daemons (denoted by being between [] in the output of ps -aux) are untraceable. Any ideas? Thanks for your help.

No I haven't. It passed by my radar 12-18 months ago when I was looking at investigating kernel dumps.
Got side-tracked and never chased it up.

Thanks all the same Unfortunately, many of the articles that I've looked at refer to an older version of ltt [the 2000/2001 version] and even some of the commands have changed so it looks like I'll have to do some digging. [Actually, their homepage has up-to-date documentation] Thanks again

Just liked to mention that it usually requires a kernel recompilation if you plan on using LTT.
